According to Tony Stewart it is.

I have noticed that there have been more "debris" cautions this season than in the past few. Is Stewart right, or just being a baby about his season? I say that he's partially right. It seems that Hendrick Motor Sports is in the prime situation every race. And they have won the majority of them. I think Stewart has a valid point.
What are your thoughts?

Stewart is acting like a spoiled brat. Things aren't going his way, right now, so he spouts off at the mouth blaming everyone but himself for the outcome of the race. Debris cautions are a fact of life in racing. As NASCAR continually becomes more aware of different safety issues, things like this are going to happen. Any type of debris on the track, rather it be on the racing surface, along the wall, or on the apron must be removed for the saftey of everyone, drivers, fans, crew members, media, officials. Tony needs to quit being a baby and concentrate on finishing a race. With all of his talent, he owes it to his team and fans.

I agree that when there is debris on the track that it needs to be taken care of for safety reasons. Still, I think Stewart may have a valid point. I can count how many times that they have called a caution for debris on the track this season. I'm guessing too many. When the cameras shows debris, then I'm fine with that, but when the camera can't find the debris, then there's a problem Sure, it could be a lug nut or something as small. I've seen cameras pick out small debris before. Stewart may be a spoiled brat in some race fans eyes, (Did I mention that I'm not a big fan of Stewart?) but if it were Jeff Gordon or Jimmy Johnson doing all the belly aching, it'd be a different story.
NASCAR has the biggest and most diverse fans in any sport. If one racer starts suspecting something more are going to pay attention. Stewart has a big fan base. Not as big as JG, JJ, or Dale Jr, but he has them. What happens if Jr starts supporting Stewart's statement? A lot more fans are going to pay attention. I'd like to see how many cautions in the past 3 seasons were called to this season. It may support Stewart, it may not.

Everyone acts like the debris caution is some new thing. Throwing a debris caution is a trick as old as orginized racing itself. Ive seen it countless time at little short tracks all around, so it not just a NASCAR thing. And the little tracks do it for the same reasons that NASCAR does: to bunch up the field when the race gets boring. If you think about it, a debris caution is the equivalent of a "TV timeout" in other sports. As far as Tony Stewart goes. I sure do feel sorry for him, he gets paid millions of dollars to drive a race car for a living. Thats got to be such a tough life LOL!

I go to the Brickyard every year. Its one of those tracks where the leader gets out in front and pulls away. You can almost bet when the leader gets to far out in front Nascar will throw a caution. Im okay with it as long as they show it on camera like mentioned above. Maybe Tony is the only one not afraid to expose Big Bad Nascar. I dont want to think that they stage races, but it does seem odd that Jimmy Johnson driving the Lowes car always seems to win at the Lowes motor Speedway. But then again he seems to win every where. Im not a Tony Stewart Fan, but I like the fact that he is not afraid to say whats on his mind. The rest of the drivers just fall in line and say and do exactly what NASCAR tells them to do.

Tony is this generations Dale Earnhardt, not in driving ability, but by speaking out against things that NASCAR doesn't do well.

He hit the nail on the head. It cost Mark Martin the 500 IMHO and I have always believed NASCAR cheats for who it wants/needs to win.....

Hey maybe it is like wrestling. Like when Robby Gordon through the foam out of his car. Would that be like a wrestler taking a chain out of his tights??? How bout when Michael Waltrip punched Lake Speed while he was in his car at the entrance of pit road in Michigan?? Gordon (with helmet on) did shove Kenseth last year at Bristol.

Here's the latest about Stewart's remarks.

How can you not like "Smoke"? He tells it like it is and whoever said he is the 2000's DE you are 100% right.
I have said the same thing for about 3-4 years now. 1 reason I don't watch NASCAR any longer to fixed for me!
