It just baffles me because it's the only meaningful area in which these papers can contribute. No one else is going to cover something locally. It's pointless to go to these papers for nationwide coverage - there are other outlets for that. The LHL may as well not exist if it isn't going to cover local. Maybe that's where they're headed.

I wonder when last time Barren County scored against Bowling Green in first quarter.

Barren beat them twice, in 1984 and 1985.

It is quite jarring for me to see Bowling Green give up 100 points in the span of two games. They've only allowed 49+ points 17 times in program history and they just had it happen on back to back Fridays at home. The good news is other than CAL, I don't see another team on their schedule beating them until at least the second round of playoffs - maybe third. But this is decidedly unlike your typical Bowling Green defense. They've had multiple seasons where they didn't allow 100 total points.

Central has finally found some semblance of defense this year.... and completely forgotten how to play offense. Their first season with two zeroes put up since 2020 and we're just four games in.
