The conflict makes it apparent that the KHSAA doesn't understand the "larger scope of the picture." The KHSAA's Mission Statement: "To provide governance and leadership in order to regulate and progressively administer the highest quality interscholastic sports and sport-activities in an efficient manner, and promote the values of participation for all involved in education-based athletics and school-based sports. The KHSAA will work collaboratively with its member schools to recognize and promote the primary focus of high school academic success and college and career readiness for the student participants, risk minimization for all participants in the programs, and the efficient administration of the education-based athletic program in the schools." The KHSAA failed its student-athletes here.

I was wondering how many times St. Henry has beaten CCH over the past several years, so I did some research through the KHSAA scoreboard dating back to 2009. It looks like this was the 4th win for SHDHS over the Colonels since 2009 and their 1st win since May 4, 2015. CCH is 10-3 since 2009 and it appears there is 1 game missing in the 2009 season (May 8, 2009 no score was reported). Congrats to the Cru on the comeback victory last week! Sounds like a great comeback!

Can we stop this nonsense? They're both great HS players & they're both going to have a great opportunity for the next couple years. CJ has another game on Monday & I'm sure that's all that matters to both kids. Too many people are dying to compare the two. Hell, half of the people picking one or the other haven't even seen both play. Congrats to Adam Kunkel on an awesome career at Cooper & best wishes next year. You're the type of kid that all of NKY can cheer for.

The ref called the foul on #1 but mistook the jersey for #5, right? That should have been corrected by somebody.

Does anyone have an actual bracket? I know the semi final games are on Saturday beginning at 7 & 8:30, but which teams play at which time? If CCH & Cooper both advance, will they be the 7 or 830 game on Saturday?

Congrats to Beechwood on a fine season. They had a couple tough losses which put them in the unenviable position of playing CCH in the 1st round. It sounds like they have a lot of young talent in the program & hopefully they will continue to build on their successes from this year.

I can't believe what I'm reading. Jake won't succeed at XU because he uses his size too much & bullies defenders? Hopefully he spends the offseason working on his perimeter game so he can please the Old Sports Dad. I doubt it, but you never know.
