What about napkins?

You must be kidding. Have you seen the front of LRCW's shirts? I knew him for 11 years before I realized that they were plain white T-shirts and not tie-dyed.

Only man I know that carries a barbers sheet with him when he goes to a steak house ...

Okay - he's the only other man I know ...

Not to mention his own table he carries with him as well.:D

I hope to see JC go all the way and wish em the best against ashland.

BB, I know that you've probably seen him in action even more often than the rest of us. What would you say the odds are that there is enough money in JC Alumni 76's wallet to cover the tab?

What are the odds that enough cattle in Johnson County can be slaughtered in time for the game, if LRCW should happen to show up "hungry"?

Well, personally I don't know the financial situation of JC Alumni 76, but if he is in to coal mining or better yet diamond mining, he might be able to afford Friday night.

I'm thinking those are going to be some big odds.

My burger was cold Friday night, but I ate it anyway. You have to tell 'em to melt the cheese too (cold burger, cold cheese, and lousy choice of chips...cheddar cheese Lay's), but the 25 degree temps may have played a role. Franny, we only have one cow in Johnson County, and I bought it at the stock yard today. I'm gonna fatten it up a little and ride it all the way to Louisville December 1. If the Bluegrass Restaraunt hadn't closed, I was hopin' someone would get a big sack of those hand-cut steak burgers on rye. Can't believe a smoking ban could shut down one of the few remaining landmarks. What's next, Adam & Eve? You comin' to the game?

Boyd will be back very soon. I just happened to be down by the gate when the BC players came off the field. Several were crying. A few minutes later, I was chatting with a Boyd parent, and he said the kids (not him) really thought they could win the game. The Eagles have only trailed in 2 games this year...both Boyd County games. I sincerely hope this program gets it back quickly, and I think it will because the heart, faith and pain of losing is already there. Rebuilding a program is fun and exciting, and BC is well on its way.

I live about 20 minutes from Papa John's stadium, and unless I have to be out of town for work, I will be at the championship games.

Well worth the price of admission. Good football, good coaching, good people. Needless to say, I'm a little biased toward whichever teams come from the Eastern end of the state....

I can only imagine the first thoughts of what would go through the mind of Aunt Bea when you come ridin into town.

I can just hear Aunt Bea running through the house now, "Andy, there's Otis out on the front lawn on that cow again.":p

Ashland goes down by 21 pts. The seasons comes to a hault and thats that.

I hope the music and PA announcer is so loud this friday night that the people in Rockcastle County can hear it!

I think Johnson Central's music guy has this song in his playlist, and I really hope we hear it friday night. I personally think this should be the theme song for Johnson Central. It is "A Country Boy Can Survive" By Hank Williams, Jr. Here is my favorite line in that song... "You cant stomp us out and you cant make us run!" :fight:

Ashland hasnt been playing well. Johnson Central has. As far as Ashland playing inspired football, I really dont think even that will help. This is simply a game where the better team (Johnson Central) will win. They have dominated every team they have played this year and this one shouldnt be any different. Johnson Central is much better at every aspect of the game than Ashland is. They have been much better at every aspect of the game than every team they have played. I think Ashland will make a better showing than the last time they played JC though, they might even have the talent and will to make this one decently close. Most likely this will be Ashlands last game of the season, and thats nothing to be ashamed of. Ashland is going to get to play one more game than many other teams in the state did and while its not a state championship, thats something to be proud of. You just ran into a great team in the playoffs, thats the way it works.

On a side note, I do agree with many of the JC posters. The "boycott" plan on discussing the game is a little childish. A lot of Ashland posters love talking it up when they are playing a game they have a chance to win. Why should this one be any different?

If Ashland plays the way they did against Russell :

JC 35

Ashland 24

If they play the way they have the last few games:

JC 50

Ashland 14

My personal prediction:

JC 35

Ashland 20

Good luck to both teams, I hope the winner of this game does well in the upcoming weeks and represents this part of the state well.

I disagree with you on one thing in your post. I do not think Johnson Central has as good of passing game as Ashland. I think Ashland has a better qb and I think they have a better group of receivers. I don't know if the qb will have enough time to throw and the receivers enough time to get open but i think if Ashland's O line gives them time they are better than Johsnon Central in that aspect of the game. Just my opinion.

I can understand where you are coming from with that one. My only thing about the JC passing game is this: WHAT PASSING GAME ??? I honestly dont know if they have one or not. When you are able to move the ball at will with your running game on every team you have played during a season, why pass ? If they do have a weak passing game it might eventually hurt them. It didnt against ashland the first time and I dont think it will this time. The JC posters have continually talked about what a good quarterback they have and I dont doubt that at all, I just dont think any team has put up a fight against the running game yet to utilize him.
