New Pikeville Football Coach

He is terminated as coach, he was informed just a few days ago.

Pikeville athletics(football particularly) is far beyond chaos, they are in a total a melt down.

They want Hillard Howard back, they feel that will fix everything.

After one season Pikeville went to total melt down at 7-6 region runner-ups. I wonder what it would be like when Pikeville has a losing season.

I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not because of the smiley face..........

From an outsider looking in, Pikeville played a monster non-district schedule that I thought would be enough for the Pville faithful. However, there may be things that we dont know about that led to the firing. Good luck to Pikeville and Coach.

This isn't the NFL or College ball.....you got to give a coach longer then a year to produce. Plus it will make a coach think twice to applying to a place like that. I know I wouldn't want to go there if they were giving me only a year to produce.

There is something that isn't right about this picture. Never heard of a coach getting fired after one season especially after going to the Regional finals; this year wasn’t even close to being one of Pikeville’s best teams. Something must have gone on behind the scenes that we don't know about. Mike Copley from what I know of him is a standout guy that always would put the kids first and get them into the best physical and mental shape possible. Must have not kissed up to people enough? Really am baffled by this decision but there is a reason for everything.

I really hope P-Ville can things worked out.

Maybe those in charge need to remember this is 2009 and not the days when P-Ville was on top. Meaning there is a ton of work to be done to get back there.

Hire a coach and give him complete control of the program then let the coach and his staff go to work.

I would think their would have to be more to the story than just the on the field stuff. What kind of offense and defense was he running?
