halfback20
Good trade for the Nets IMO. Deron Williams is good.
History
Maybe Sloan will come back and coach the Jazz now...
SSC
I'm not sure that they can keep him, but I'd much rather have him than Melo if I owned NJ.

Big Slick
It didn't say anything about Williams signing an extension, does anyone know if he did or is going to yet? Will they now go after Dwight Howard, he can't win there with Harris and Favors gone?
HammerTime
Howard is going to the Lakers when he is a free agent.
formerkywrestler
Seeing reports that Dwill hasn't signed an extension with the Nets. If they make this trade without an extension it becomes rather foolish to me.
HammerTime
Seeing reports that Dwill hasn't signed an extension with the Nets. If they make this trade without an extension it becomes rather foolish to me. They still have him next year no matter what but apparently he isn't very happy about the trade. They said he had no idea it was in the works and he found out on Sportscenter.

They said he had no idea it was in the works and he found out on Sportscenter. The Nets aren't going to be good next year either. But at least they have two years to attempt to persuade him to stay in NJ/Brooklyn. Or if an extension isn't looking likely, they can attempt to flip him next year for some usable assets. Either way, this was a BOLD move by The Russian.
formerkywrestler
Btw, Williams isn't even eligible for an extension until July. So there will not be a extension immediately for sure. Wow, what a freakin' gamble.
bcd00
Says the Jazz also recieved two first round picks. They get rid of someone who didn't want to be there and basically gain three first round picks if you count Favors.
