Retire Jerseys

I was thinking with UNC retiring Hansbourgh's jersey tonight, who will be the next at UK to have there name hung up. With the great players coming for a couple of years and leaving its hard to put people up there. The only couple I can think of maybe in the past 5-10 years or so is Prince and Patterson maybe.

Tony Delk, then Tayshaun Prince.

I think Patterson will have his number up there. You would think if they were going to do Delk's or Prince's they would already be up there.

The player I would most like to see get his jersey retired is Chuck Hayes. I don't think I'll ever view another Wildcat with as much admiration as I did Hayes.

Delk's should be next.

UK is past due to retire Prince and Delk's jerseys. UNC retired Tyler's a year after he left.

In order to get your jersey in the rafters, do you have to graduate? I may be wrong, but it seems I remember something about that in the past.

I'm not for sure if any of the players mention have their degree from UK. I know Patterson is on his way to accomplish this in 3 years.

Doubt it. With one year the only way he gets his retired is if he wins a NC.

I would love to see Hayes go up in the Rafters.

I think that Prince's should be retired, or some of the guys off the 96 or 98 team.

Prince, Delk, and Patterson should be up there. No to Chuck Hayes. No to JW, though he's easily good enough.

JMO.

If the go undefeated from here on out he will win a NC...that will get him up there at some point.

Guess we should put any player that ever got a ring in the rafters huh?
