UK Gets A Verbal From 8th Grader

According to Matt May of the catspause, Uk just got a verbal from 8th grader Michael Avery, a 6'4 guard from Sherwood California.

Is that kid a stud or what?

6'4 in the 8th grade!? Wow. :lol:

A lot can and probably will change between now and the time he is ready for college.

This is pretty absurd...what are chances this holds up?

There is this one poster on another message board who has a pretty good track record, and he says that a lot is in store over the next two weeks regarding recruiting.

I read that as well Brotha...guy is very credible as well...I'm excited!

This kid reportedly has played with older talent for a long time and has held his own...projected to be a top-10 guy in his class....but he has 5 years to figured this out...thats a long time...good sign for us that BCG may want to hang around though?

Also some rumors swirling that there is a silent verbal that can't be released yet...

I also read somewhere else that he was ranked No. 46 in the class of 2012, behind some guy named Desmond Maddox from Louisville BTW. Where in the world do these services come from?

My 7-year-old son has committed to the University of Kentucky today. He said he chose UK over Duke because "only sissies go to Duke". He led his pee wee basketball team in scoring, rebounding, assists, and Little Debbie snack cakes ate after each game. He was also first in the hand shake line more than any other player on his team. He hasn't qualified academically but he did make a 100 on his spelling test Wednesday and made a 95 on his units test. "I like Kentucky because the big furry cat on TV that goes to the game looks cool. Plus, my grandpa says Kentucky is where the real good players go," my son said. Incredibly, no word has been received from the UK coaches concerning their latest verbal.
