LC just has too much firepower and athleticism..Rockcastle is playing there best football of the year at the right time and will make a game of it, but, Burke & Co. will make a few more big plays...Lex Cath 30 Rockcastle 14

I look for a dominant performance by the Knights. Rock had a hard time in their first round game with the tall physical recievers from Mason Co. I think Rockcastle only has one defensive back that looked to be 6 foot tall. (#81 or something). The other corners are very athletic...but they are very short. Mason Co would have won the game if they had a true quarterback who could get them the ball on a more consistent basis. No offence to the Mason QB, but he was short, as well, and I felt as though he couldn't find them in there routes as well as Burke will next Friday. Mason also had a running style of an offense more so than I thought they should have against the Rockets. Don't get me wrong..."the run opens up the pass" and all of that hoopla, but I thought Mason Co should have exploited that aspect more so than they did. I'm pulling for the Rockets, but I don't see them going to the carpet.

Looks to be an intriguing matchup with Burke and Rock's D, which has played real well the last couple of weeks. The are not strange to passing attack offenses and may surprise some people.

A lot will depend on how quickly LexCath heals. Burke and others were walking gingerly after the game. It's not easy beating Bell County at Log Mountain especially blanking them like Rockcastle did. They have come a long way since the beginning of the season.

What I heard about Lexington Catholic was that they were fined $30,000 by the KHSAA for paying players due to some low income family issues or something like that, can anyone help me out with this?

Not exactly right go to public/private forum for thread on situation. As far as I know currently, no player currently playing for the team is involved.

Rock deserved to win, but Mason's QB had around 280 passing and the team had over 400 yards of offense. Our QB did a great job and the running game was effective as well. I won't begin to get into why we didn't win, just to say that Rock found a way to get one more point and congratulations to them on doing so.

If our qb can produce each Friday like ours did in the Rock game, we will take it. ;)

Look for LC's defense to repeat the performance they had against Highlands. Those kids looked focused and play with a lot of passion. The fantastic 4 of Burke, Burbage,Caldwell, and Israel will get back to their old ways as LC gets to their first state title game.

The rock is really rolling now, and it should be a great game. If you asked me earlier this year i would have for sure said LC,but now im not too sure. Both are coming off very impressive shutouts of great teams so i think we'll see a low scoring battle.
