Someone please post how this would affect the other regions and districts.

Class A Region 4

District 7

Evarts

Lynn Camp

Harlan

Cumberland

Williamsburg

Pineville

The only major change in this district is the loss of Somerset. Also, Evarts and Cumberland are supposed to consolidate with Cawood in the near future which will cost everyone some traditional rivalry games.

District 8

South Floyd

Allen Central

Phelps

Hazard

Paintsville

Jenkins

The big change here is the loss of Pikeville. An interesting note, region 4 has 12 of the 37 teams listed for Class A. There would probably be some small districts elswhere unless there was some type of realignment.

Where did these figures come from???

Where did these figures come from???

These are boys only numbers. I got them from the latest enrollment figures from the KHSAA web site. They are the last 2years avg number of boys, which is what the new or present classes will be going by in 2007.

That is better being that Male is in the SUPER CLASS>

Ok, for those that want to know how I came up with these numbers I will try and enlighten you.

I went to KHSAA.org and downloaded the lastest enrollement figures by size. I then saved that to my desktop as a .pdf file or acrobat reader pdf file. I opened the file with my own version of acrobat reader, and then saved the file in .Txt formatt. I then opened Microsoft Excel (xp version), and then clicked file, and then open. In the open window I chose all files, not just excel, and then selected the saved .txt file. It then prompted me as to how I would like to import the data. I chose deliminated, using tabs and spaces as my dividers for the collumns. I was then able to minipulate the data to display only the information listed. But I was not done yet. As this llist contained ALL ky schools. I had to cross reference the schools that actually had football and eliminate the ones that didn't. I used the Reinard's scoreboard and Massey to verify that all schools were included. Not discounting those schools that are either not competing in district play or are beginning a football program. Then I went about the task of dividing the teams into the seperate classes depending on the proposal contained in the premise of the thread.

and on the 7th day he rested.

This is not ideal to me either, but most classes are very competitive, 3A looks kinda weak at first glance to me.
