Scott vs. Dixie Predictions

Couple of days early on this one, but we are all excited to see the new facilities... We've got Dixie who was thumped by three really good teams on the road, verses Scott who came up short verses Holy Cross and Lloyd before finally winning against Carroll County. Both teams have a bye this week preparing for the first game at Dixie's new house.

Any predictions on this one?

We'll just say 3 very HARD road games with Top Teams in the state ! ( 1 , 2, 3 in NKY ) This Dixie team has been pretty beat - up on the field and off the field the past three weeks ! I think they will be FIRED UP BIG TIME for this home game ! Isn't Scott ranked 16 in the state in 4A ?

No way, that would be Scott County maybe. They're a quite a bit different than Scott High School. I'm not sure Scott High School is 16 teams up from the bottom of the class. With that said, I am so dissapointed in the Colonels to this point I hate to even pick them now. But I will.

There is no excuse for the poor play thus far. Hopefully the internet superstars have realized that you have to work hard and play with heart. Get mean, get nasty, and get back on track Colonels. Play with reckless abandon. Smack somebody. Don't go out for four quarters and play patty cake. Hit somebody and make 'em blow snot bubbles, then do it again and again. I want to have a reason to beat my chest and up untill now, I got nothing.

This will be a great game. If it were not Dixie's first home game in their new stadium I would say Scott wins this one pretty handily. As it is I will say Scott still spoils the Dixies party by 1.

Although Scott has been thumped by Dixie the past couple of years, I think Scott has a chance to win this game because 1) Like someone else said, new facilities and its Dixie's first home game 2) Scott should be 3-0 but late turnovers have been devastating. I think Scott will turn things around this time, therefore:

Not sure how anyone can translate Scott's performance vs. the 3 teams they have played into a close game in Dixie's home opener. Dixie wins big.

Dixie will win with ease. Scott will be lucky to limp out of the season with 3 wins....

That's what I'm saying. I'm shocked at folks predicting the Eagles to triumph in this one...but as they say, I've been wrong before.

You got to kidding me if you think that the Scott Eagles (aka the school named after the egg farm owner, who lived and farmed on High Water Road) will beat Dixie.. The Lil Colonels will win by at least 3/4 TD's. With this being their first home game on their new turf, and stadium, make that 5 TD's... Go Dixie........

Dixie looked very good against CovCath. It looks like their starting to mature into a team. I think that Dixie wins by 3 touchdowns

Unfortunately for Scott, they are the team scheduled for Dixie after they took 3 beatings..... I like Dixie in a whoopin 42-14. Scott is the red headed stepchild in this one.
