Ashland Tomcats / Dixie Heights Colonels Predictions

Now the second season begins. Dixie Heights is coming off a pummeling of the Campbell Co Camels 56 – 7, and now travels to Putnam Stadium for an opening round playoff game against the Tomcats. The Colonels finish the regular season at 4-6 / 2-2. Ashland, who was idle this week, has a current record is at 6-4 / 2-2.

Records can be thrown out the window now though…from here on out, its one and done.

After a good showing against Campbell, I think that Dixie will come in pretty confident. However, I see Ashland sending them back down the AA with a loss.

Dixie has too much offense for Ashland...Dixie 35-14

Ashland is going to need to play their best game of the year, but I think they can do it at home. This should be a very good game.

The "Ghost" :eek: of Putnam come out and help the Tomcats pull this one off. I believe that the Tomcats will use a strong ground game to control time of poessesion and come away with the win in a classic.

Dixie has played a much tougher schedule than Ashland and IMO will have too much offense for the Tomcats. Ashland would struggle with Conner and Campbell Co, both nky 6A teams that Dixie beat handily. Could be a high scoring game but the way Dixie's defense played last night, I'm not so sure.

Would have to agree with this, but Ashland has a shot if the defense steps up & if the offense can use some ball control & keep Dixie's offense off the field.

I think that's the key to the game: Keep Dixie's offense off the field. If not it could be a long night. Dixie has shown the ability to score on ANYONE and lately have been clicking on all cylinders. They put up 39 on a Ryle defense that held Highlands to 26 points. (Granted it was the first game of the year, still impressive)
