2007 Powell County

What does Powell County need to do to improve in 2007? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Well they have never had a winning season, that will now change with the new head coach Mike Whitaker.

Administration better put in their part if that program wants to be successful. They didn't want anything to do with the program with the last head coach (Bruce Jones), which in turn set him up for failure. Good luck to Whitaker and Powell County.

Why did Mike leave Christian County for Powell county? Sounds like Powell is wanting to start getting serious about football. I'm sure they realize that they have an outstanding coach. Good to see Mike back in Southeast Kentucky.

Coach Mike will make the mountians a much better place to play football,I really think that was a huge step for Powell Co.,and yes the program seems to be headed in right way,and thats UP,good luck Mike we are glad u are back home ,and i am sure people all are glad u back.............Go Bobcats....

I think they beat Jackson Co. just their 2nd year. Whitaker out coaches Morgans new coach to get win #2. They beat Estill Co., Beat Lewis for win 4, Bath and Cawood would put them at 6-1. Then beat Betsy Layne and Berea to go 8-2.

They might as well get Fleming and Breathitt too and go 10-0.

Your funny! It will be ugly with those two teams, but they do have a good chance of going 8-2 with the weak teams that they play.

I think when I look at that schedule Powell tops the bad list, 8-2 is far fetched IMHO.
