January 20, 200818 yr I think so. I don't really know much of what U of L is getting back, but with the hit's UK is taking on the offensive side of the ball, it's going to be hard to beat the Card's at Papa John's...

January 20, 200818 yr UL has Caldwell at QB. Anthony Allen at RB. But we (UK) have basically our whole defense back that shut down that suppoesedly unstoppable air attack (Brohm, Urrutia, Douglas) Brohm was 28-43 for 366 yards with 2 TDs and 1 Int. UK did not even come close to shutting him down. What they did do was put up 40 points and rush for 185 yards on ULs defense. They also took advantage when UL turned it over and stopped UL inside the 4 once. It certainly wasn't our defense that won that one. That being said almost the whole defense does return and I think the confidence gained by UK's success the last couple of seasons will help. I'm also not sold on Kragthorpe at UL. I think UL will definately be favored but UK will definately have a shot.
January 20, 200818 yr I think UL will definately be favored but UK will definately have a shot. What did UofL do this year to make you think they will be favored next year, or do you just think they will be favored because they are playing at home?
January 20, 200818 yr It will be tough because of the changes, fundamentally, to UK's offense combined with the fact it will be the first game of the season for UK. If it were later, I would like our chances a lot more. Talent-wise, UK can compete, but there will be some mistakes early in the season and UofL will be ahead of us because of thier QB situation.
January 20, 200818 yr IMO is way too early to talk about it but why not. U.K. will have places to fill and some big losses from last season's team but there is nothing in Louisville that jumps out at me as being "unbeatable".
January 20, 200818 yr I don't think UK's defensive backfield shut down UL's air attack.... I don't think that U.L.'s coaching staff can compete wih U.K.s - U.K. wins, "Looeyville" gets an "L".
January 20, 200818 yr What did UofL do this year to make you think they will be favored next year, or do you just think they will be favored because they are playing at home? I think they'll be favored because they're playing at home and it's opening week.
January 20, 200818 yr I don't think that U.L.'s coaching staff can compete wih U.K.s - U.K. wins, "Looeyville" gets an "L". If the changes being made hold true then I completely disagree.
January 20, 200818 yr Both teams will be hit pretty hard by graduation, but i think it will be a pretty even game. Who will be UL's running back since Allen is transferring???
