10th Region Games Rescheduled

I just got the call that as of now the games set for Saturday has been changed to 3:00 for the Mason vs GRC and 6:30 for the Montgomery Co vs Scott games. If this changes, I will post updates as I get them.

With the cancellation of the Mason-Dixon Games indoor track meet, Saturday is free for the mcpapa family. If the game is played on Saturday, we will try to get there. However, I think we can all agree that no basketball game is worth risking life and limb. Hopefully things will work out!

By the way, cancelling the track meet in Louisville is a huge deal. Many thousands of dollars paid out to rent Broadbent Arena. They're obviously expecting nasty weather there that will keep much of the Commonwealth at home.

I agree mcpapa that is huge deal. And there is no way of making it up either. They are out alot of money. Hope the 10th will be able get the games in.

I wanted to know because the girls semi's are played on Sunday as well.

Boys Final is to be played Tuesday night from what I understand...

Games for today ( Saturday) has been canceled. Won't know when they will be rescheduled, till we see how the girls tourney games will be played. Boys are working around girls schedule.

We're really running into some serious scheduling problems now. It is going to be very challenging to get both the boys and girls in now without playing on the same night. With the 10th region girls winner not playing until Thursday of the girls Sweet 16, I would think playing the boys final on Wednesday would be an option. However, I believe you would have to have special permission from the KHSAA to do that because of the girls Sweet 16 starting on Wednesday.

With the weather I dont' think you would have to get permission...just get the games in. I remember a few years back, in the Sweet 16 boys program it had has the 15th region winner....Belfery/ Sheldon Clark...think that was the 2 teams. They could not get the games in before th program had to be printed. I can imagine what the girls program will look like this year....

What about the conflict of playing when the girls state tournament is playing on Wednesday?

Region 10 girls do not play on Wed.

Seems to me the 10th had to choose between playing on the same night as the 10th region girls tourney, the 1st day of the girls state tourney or playing on the same night as church. Good decision by the powers that be.

Yeah, I am mad that they scheduled the game on church night.
