Boone County/Ryle Updates

After the top of the first, Ryle leads Boone County 1-0.

I'll give better updates as the games goes along.

In the top of the first, Ryle scored 1 run on 2 hits and left one on with no BC errors.

Sebald for Ryle goes through the 1-2-3 hitters in order.

After one complete inning, it's RHS 1 BCHS 0.

Ryle is starting to hit Houlehan fairly decently.

After the top of the second, Ryle leads 3-0. The Raiders scored 2 runs on 2 hits, 1 BC error, and didn't leave anyone on base.

Sebald gets the 4-5-6 hitters to go down in order.

Ryle gets a 2-run homer from Charlie Levan and pushes the lead to 5-0 after the top of the third. 2 runs, 3 hits, 0 errors, 0 LOB

Boone finally gets a hit from the lead-off batter of the bottom of the 3rd..........

With two out in the bottom of the third, Ryle extends the inning for Boone with an error on a dropped pop-up in the infield, Farris was HBP, and then a walk to score their first run of the game. Ryle then gets a groundout to end the inning.

1 run, 1 hit, 1 error & 3 LOB

After three complete, Ryle leads 5-1.

Ryle gets a couple walks and three total stolen bases but strands them

0 runs, 0 hits, 0 errors, 2 LOB

After 3.5 innings, Ryle still leads 5-1.

Boone County gets an Rbi single coupled with a few walks toi cut the Ryle lead to 5-2 after 4 complete.

1 run, 1 hit, 0 errors, 2 LOB

Ryle gets a homerum from Gus Murray to push the lead back up to 4. Then they tack on another run.

2 run, 2 hits, 1 errors, 2 LOB

After 4.5, Ryle leads 7-2.

With one out and the bases loaded for Boone County, the Ryle head coach makes a pitching change.

A gapper to right-center scores two runs....7-4 now....Boone has runners on 2nd and 3rd still with 1 out.

The bases are now loaded after a walk.

Another walk brings in a run....7-5 Ryle now.

Another pitching change for Ryle....still 1 out with the bases loaded.

Etscheid comes in to retire the next two batters.

After 5 complete, Ryle leads 7-5.

Boone County brings in Tony Krohman to relieve Houlehan.

Krohman retires the side.

Etscheid retires the side.

After 6 complete, the score remains Ryle 7 Boone County 5.

Krohman retires the side in the top of the 7th.
