August 11, 200818 yr Waiver rumor was true. Through much debate in the other thread, looks as if a majority was wrong. Good way to get 20 mil off the payroll.

August 11, 200818 yr Never said he wasn't claimed. Just that the deadline was three days ago at 7PM. I didn't drop any names because I really don't remember them nor do I want to look through an Adam Dunn waiver rumor thread. I was just stating that a majority of the thread from my memory wasn't expecting this to happen.

I was just stating that a majority of the thread from my memory wasn't expecting this to happen. I didn't either. Can't say I agree with it. But I'm a realistic Reds fan unlike most others. If they got some stud prospects in return, ok.

I would have liked to see Dunn stay, but as you stated, if the return will help this club sooner than later.... Be anxious to see, who the players are.
August 11, 200818 yr STUPID! STUPID! STUPID! The Reds will regret this unless they are getting three studs.
August 11, 200818 yr Worst trade in Reds recent history. You won't see me at GABP for the rest of the year to watch this AAA team

August 11, 200818 yr Not a Reds fan, but coming from an unbiased fan, I think this was the right move for the Reds. Barely over a month and a half left in the season, and no way the Reds could compete for even a wild card birth. You got a very young talented team, in which you would like to keep together, you now add some more talented young pieces to this puzzle, and free up around 20 mil. a year in cap room. Now go out this offseason land a couple nice free agent signings, and who will actually miss the donkey?

August 11, 200818 yr Did you hate the Kearns/Lopez deal as well??? Kearns nor Lopez was anywhere near the level of Dunn
