Highlands vs Newcath predictions (12/19)

Newcath (0-2) will travel to Highlands (4-0) friday to take on the Birds.

Thoughts?

Will they both have their full teams? Either way I'll take Highlands by around 12.

Should be a good game but I'll take HHS by 8.

I agree with Pennstations in that it will be the traditional good rivalry game. HHS will come out victorious due to their overall better athleticism.

NCC with or without their football kids aren't on the same level as HHS this year. Highlands athleticism and defensive tenacity will cause fits all night for the Breds. Expect Highlands to try and play an uptempo game and get in transition a lot.

NCC is missing a starter. Jake Ollberding broke his arm in their opener against Holy Cross. None the less, it should still be an intense game.

Highlands will own the boards in this one and their physicality will pose problems for the NCC guards. With that said though, if Pangallo can penetrate it might free up the shooters and cause their defenders to sag more. I like Pangallo's quickness and ability to get to the rack so this could be the only thing that causes the Birds to make an adjustment.

I usually agree with you, but I doubt NCC beats Highlands. Highlands inside game will wear them down.
