Top Northern Kentucky Football Players Class of 2027

Featured Replies

Post who some of the top class of 2027 football players are in Northern Kentucky.

Owen Pitzer:  MLB/TE - will be a 3 year starter next year as a Senior with very meaningful Freshman Varsity playing time.  He Will dominate on both sides of the ball no doubt

I'd also nominate Jonny Lind from Cov Cath as well. Started both ways on the line as a sophomore.

I knew I was forgetting someone and Lind is it.  He has the potential to be a very very High D1 recruit and dominant force in NKY football over the next 2 years.  Yes, Lind absolutely belongs on this list.

Totally agree on Pitzer and Lind. Will be dominant players in this class. I like Sowder and Fryman at Beechwood as well.

There are five Highlands class of 2027 players that are getting a lot of attention from recruiters.

1) Teegan Haretuku (6'2 285) - Started both ways last season on OLine and DLine

2) Tayden Lorenzen - (6'2 250) - TE/QB - was a starter about 3 weeks into the season last year. Will be a focal point on offense this season and will be lined up all over the field. Wouldn't be surprised to see him on defense.

3) Gabe Williams (5'9 180) - DB/RB - Starter on Defense and a big piece of the RB rotation in 2024. Will be a 2 way starter in 2025. Gabe is also an excellent Kick and Punt returner.

4) Cooper Benke (6'5 225) - Edge - was a dominant player on JV and made some impactful plays on Varsity via special teams and situational D Line reps. Will be a starter the next 2 years and will most likely find a way to be utilized on offense. Also a Long Snapper

5) Griffin Benke (6'5.5 220) - Edge - JV Co Defensive player of the year with his brother in 2024. Made a few splash plays on varsity. Will be a starter for the next 2 years. Also does Short snapping.

2 of the top players would be Fryman from Beechwood and Weaver from SK.

That would make him a 2026.

Sorry, when I meant next year, I meant fall of 2026.  He is currently a Sophomore and started this year and received quality varsity minutes as a Freshman last season…..I am getting too amped up waiting for the next couple of seasons to play out

What about Ryle or Cooper class of 2027 players?  Anyone we should have our eyes on?

Tyler Fryman, Beechwood. The kid is an absolute freak on both sides of the football. Elite speed, smooth as butter, and never drops a pass. He got hurt in week 2 and missed the next 9 games of the season, and therefore kind of fell off the radar. However, when he came back in the 2nd round of the playoffs, he elevated Beechwood, from a very good team, to a great team, and it was lights out for the rest of 2A, as evidenced by the beatdowns of LCA and Owensboro Catholic in route to the 2A state championship!

His presence alone, opened up things for other players, because teams had to account for him.

If this Kid is off anyone’s radar then they are nuts……stud.

My point is, when you are hurt and not playing, you get forgotten about. The medical staff and trainers and the kid himself, did an amazing job at being able to come back and finish the season. He was put on a pitch count and offense only his first 2 games back. In the semis the Tigers took the wraps off of him and unleashed him.

Not meant as a dig, just this Kid is way too special to be off anyone’s radar.  So much fun watching Him play.  He is gonna tear it up this year and next.

In addition to Fryman (team's leading tackler in the title game), these class of 2027 players were all starters and big contributors on Beechwood's championship team this past season:

CB/WR/RB Nathan Pabst - Blazing speed, one of the members of the track relay state champions; Big TD run in the title game; returned 2 kickoffs for TD's against Cov Cath. If he starts at RB, I could see him being a 1,500 yard rusher because of his speed and big play potential.

QB/TE/DE Bo Sowder - Could be the starting QB for the 2025 team; really developed on defense as the season went on last year and was huge on defense in the state title game with 2 tackles for loss and a sack.

WR/DB Caleb Arrasmith - One of the teams leading tacklers last year; blocked from getting more reps last year by all the experienced talent Beechwood had at WR; look for him to have a big year at WR in 2025

The class of 2027 is a talented class for Beechwood.
