2008 Bluegrass/Buckeye Charity Classic schedule

Would anyone happen to have a schedule for this year's games that will be held at The Bank of Kentucky Center on the campus of Northern Kentucky University?

The KHSAA scoreboard site has two games on Dec, 13 and one the next day. Hopefully they're all on the 14th since NKU's women's team is hosting its annual tournament on the 12th and 13th.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I got word from Coach Listerman at CovCath as to what the schedule will look like. I asked him if I could post it on here and he said yes but I needed to make a note that the games on the first day of the tournament (Saturday, Dec. 13) could be pushed back an hour due to potential shoot-arounds for the NKU women's basketball tournament that is also being held that dat...actually it is on Dec. 12-13.

All games in the BBBCC will be played at The Bank of Kentucky Center on the campus of Northern Kentucky University and yours truely will more than likely be serving as the public address announcer for the event.

The schedule will look like this:

Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008

Mason County/Cincinnati St. Xavier @ 12:30 p.m.

Covington Scott/Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller @ 2 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008

Ryle/Georgetown (Ohio) @ 1 p.m.

St Henry/Cincinnati Oak Hills @ 2:45 p.m.

Covington Catholic/Ft. Thomas Highlands @ 4:30 p.m.

Holmes/Scott County @ 6:15 p.m.

Cov Cath v. Highlands? I don't like that at all. I'd much rather see both of these teams go up against a Cincinnati team, especially in this tournament.

Although the Bank of Kentucky Arena would be a good venue for when those games are supposed to be played at Highlands.

I think that the BBBCC has struggled a little bit over the years. Maybe the promise of a huge gate is what prompted the tournament directors to move the CCH / HHS game.

The Holmes vs Scott County game outght to worth the price of admission itself. There are going to be some athletes on the floor for that game.

I cant wait for Sunday's games. Scott Co vs Holmes will be the best game in the state.

I will say this about the Kentucky entrants...it will give everyone, with the exception of Scott County, a chance to play where the regional tournament is going to be. With having Mason County and Covington Scott from the 10th Region and Ryle, St. Henry, Covington Catholic, Ft. Thomas Highlands, and Holmes being from the 9th Region, I would think that the coaches are especially thrilled to have a chance to kind of get used to the facility before the regional tournaments start.

I guarantee thats why Mason Co. scheduled this game.

I'd say get there early if you want a decent seat. Covcath-Highlands will draw a nice crowd simply because of the rivalry between the two schools. Throw in the fact that many of the St Henry and Ryle fans as well as the CCH-Highlands fans will stay for the Scott CO-Holmes game and the place should be rockin'. I wouldn't be surprised to see over 5,000 people there for the last game.

Scott Co-Holmes could be a potential state championship preview and IMO would draw 5,000 people alone even if it were the only game that day. Expect to see lots of college coaches in attendance as well for this day.

What exactly is the Celebrity Game?

I think that the Highlands vs CCH game will be very good again this season. A very good warm up for the Holmes vs Scott County game.

Scott vs Moeller?

Being an Eagle alumni I may have to make the trek back to NKY to see that one.

Hopefully my Eagles will be put on a show!
